I'm Just a Skater Boy
Photo taken late afternoon as the sun was setting… hence the sunset shadows.
Here’s my boy Kane doing what he loves most!!
Skateboarding is almost an obsession for him. He skates at least 4 times a week either at the local school or at the local bowl with his Daddy (his Daddy is right back into Skateboarding after 15 years).
At just 4 he can already push off and confidently ride a skateboard. And loves his Daddy to swing him from side to side standing on the deck inside the big skate bowls.
Quite Adorable.

yes I was attracted to your pic because of my son and partner’s obsession… but I must also admit I have a little obsession with watching and learning the history of skateboarding now too. My man and I have quite a collection of old school mint 80s/90s decks now… so as we collect we learn more and more about the industry and sport. The whole skateboarding culture is an intriguing one!

that’s so funny you said that Mimi… cause there’s been so many times when I would always get that feeling of thinking he was just sooo adorable that i could just eat him!! such a strange thing to say but there’s really no other way of describing that feeling in words I find… it’s like you just want to squeeze them till there’s nothing left to squeeze or gobble them up. LOL!! :D

Thanks Moose! (just realised I never answered).
He’s still not at the confidence stage of going too hard. He’s watched enough Skate DVD’s and seen enough stacks that he thinks it’s about the skill of falling off! :D He loves to cruise along… one foot on… the other pushing… and then once the momentum is up… he’ll suddenly stop and do a drop and roll off the deck onto the ground. He thinks falling is just as much about skateboarding than riding them is. very cute :D
