tree slowly dying

when the leaves curl up and fall
gently, slowly to the ground
we take our time and think of all
the green that once grew up around.
watch as crisp leaves turn to earth
and hope ’till sring for joy and mirth,
then buds spring up in welcome birth.

tree slowly dying
