New Lightweight Hoodies. Great for laziness, business, or any other -ness.

Sometimes, though the hidden night sky
is white with stars,
still dark descends inside our bones,
like ink seeps into white linen,
and we grieve our mortal vulnerabilities
and harsh losses, and come
out the other side, dumb,
unknowing, something of our confidence
in reason shaken, and ponder
if we are on the right side of the stars,
or birdsong. And suddenly stopped
by the shock of someone’s passing,
wonder just how long we will remain oblivious
to the mystery hidden
as a still Presence in our bones,
in the center of a seed,
or in the thoughts of fish.
Then, the only answer is
this same silence we sit in,
reason stopped… and minds unknowing,
where, in the rawness of our hearts,
a deep urge stirs for primal beauty
and meaning.

Artist's Description

Life shocks us at times… how else can it be when you combine Love and loss… when death is so surreal. Religions present their answers, but though I believe in the potential power of words to pierce into the deep heart, they only do when they remain connected to the deeper silence that gives no answer other then a mystery that, I believe, exudes the ultimate intelligence and generosity of existence.
