*This is a Triptych of three view of one of the amazing images in the tiny chapel of Timios Stavrios, high on a cliff on the south side of Crete.

I spent the night there and photographed the paintings by candlelight. They were covered with very dirty glass which caught the reflections of the many candles I used for lighting.

I woke up in the morning to the sound of donkey’s braying and roosters crowing from the village down below the chapel. I love the raw elements, and the eternal sounds and rhythms of God’s Creation.*

Oh beautiful worn fresh warm rawness. Good venture putting the three pics together. Perhaps I would have cut the picture most to the left a little bit more in the left side (we can not only sing hallelujah to each others works on this website huh?)

  • Ah! No, feel free to give your senses. There are so many ways to put things together, each with its own feel. Perhaps I’ll play with it some more. Thanks for your comment, Nils!

Yes, there is! And ofcourse, I am only putting in my opinion. But it would be nice to not only get praising comments, but also tips! We are also here to develop, I think. Altough I must say, there is nothing wrong with one getting praised either. I love the pictures, if that did´nt come out :)

Lovely capture and expression of your faith.

  • Thanks Lozzar… I understand faith now as a naked trust in that which is beyond my grasp… Love that flows to us through a limitless variety of expressions. I love the spiritual qualities that come through these images.
