From a foie gras demonstration outside a restaurant that served foie gras. foie gras is French for fatty liver. The Ducks & Geese are force fed several times a day until their livers are 10 times normal. They suffer greatly, from being overweight, liver problems, & forced to live in filthy cramped cages.
We had a Huge Victory tonight (5 Nov). We had just arrived at “Dry Creek Kitchen” where we had been demonstrating twice a week for a month & a half, with only 2 to 6 people.The manager came out & said that foie gras has been removed from the menu, because of us being there & our compassion. Wooooooooo Hooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
Our job is not over, we will return to this same city on Saturday & go to another restaurant that still serves foie gras & demonstrate there untilthery remove it.
