my First Big Attempt At Layering In PhotoShop
It’s not great, hee hee, but it was fun. This is for my next drawing for the Vampire Series, i wanted to incorporate everyone into the Moroccan Coffee House where the Vampire’s soon to be guest & his fiance are having their farewell tea before he catches his train. i couldn’t find a photo of a waiter i liked, so i chose an illustration

lol… you are so creative pinky, i love this idea :)
pinkyjain replied
Thank you so much Karin, it was quite an experience. So cool when you put a new layer you can actually move it & the front layer stays there & does not disappear, hope that makes sense, lol
Ken Mucke
Brilliant work…I love the 3D effect
pinkyjain replied
Hi Ken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you and everyone is doing great!!!!!! Bet the girls are getting so big.
This is for the Vampire Series, finally getting inspired again. i’m starting at the beginning, hee hee, where he leaves from London for his long trip. His fiance & him are having a farewell tea before he catches his train. This is a picture reference for the drawing i hope to start soon
Lori Peters
Very good for a first try. I love the vampire series. XXX

AnitaInverarity
It casts a great scene- I’m so intrigued by this series- more soon please xxxxxxx
pinkyjain replied
Thank you much Anita, :O)))))) i am trying, hee hee. Finished ones you can find under vampireseries. This is mostly getting to the Vampire’s castle, and in the castle. What i’m doing now is more of the trip to the castle, sort of like a prequel, i guess

Lotacats
Awwww right!....nice job.
I have messed with layers a little in Photoshop but am so used to my paint shop pro freehand canvas. Layers…layers….I do layers up to 80 or more sometimes. It’s really easy in PSP.
Someday I have to learn to use photoshop. Someone gave me CS2. I have the “Dummies” book on this program…but am soooooo hooked to my old Paint Shop Pro 7. It’s like a part of my hand. I think I must be a bit lazy as well.
Nice work. Layers rock!

pinkyjain replied
Thank you so very much Paola, :O))))) Glad you enjoyed this
Rainer Kozik
My gosh this is great!!! You have to do heaps more please!!!
pinkyjain replied
Thank you very much Rainer. i will try, lol, i was creating this piece for an actual drawing i need to do, i usually use 20 different pictures for one picture i need to do (changing things of course so as not to infringe on copyrights), so layering them all together was a new thing, so i hope to continue with this, so much easier then ruffling through 20 pieces of paper
pinkyjain replied
Love your avatar by the way, so cute. And i just checked out your gallery, great art.
Rainer Kozik
Thanks pinkyjain
- I’m glad you like this avatar of mine. It is actually one of my creations (made from polymer clay), and is one of the main characters in my up-coming book. This book is based on the personalities of our 4 kids (now in their 30’s!!!!!). I have turned them into pre-historic flightless baby birds embarking on a major quest. It has taken me many years, but I can see the horizon appearing now.
Thanks for looking at my gallery too. I appreciate your kind comments.
Rainer :)
pinkyjain replied
i can’t wait to see your book, sounds so marvelous, and so awesome your children are in it as your characters!!!!!! Your clay creations are sooooo wonderful, too
EdgeOfReality
This has a collage feel to it and looks good in black and white.
pinkyjain replied
Thank you again so much Edge. i did this as an experiment, my most difficult part of drawing is starting the drawing, the composition, & i collect images from all over so i will have 20 different images scattered on about 20 pieces of paper, for the one drawing i am doing, so it just seemed so much easier to put everything together here.
Stephen Thomas
Very good!
