August 1997 belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical

Reflections of the desert
finding a lost nostalgia
understanding what it means to be Australian
falling in love again
the highway the arteries that lead you to the heart
you become the substance
A vitamin or a germ?
A feeling as though you have been right
don’t want to move from this spot.
The place that I call home
passing by, no time to roam
urgency is not a crime
pay the price or loose your mind.
Reassured that everything will be fine
it soon becomes just another line.

Thanks pilgram, wrote it in 1997 when I was in the desert and just found it and decided to share it!

It was 1997 when I did my first big roam in outback Australia and I still remember the magic as if it was yesterday. Your piece brings it all home again, thanks.
