Things that make me happy:

  • capturing the world through the eyes of my camera. A oneness with nature, an expression of who I am. Suspending a glorious moment in time forever.
  • the smell of grass on the gentle breeze after rain
  • walking barefoot in the sand
  • lying in fields, with the sun beating down and looking through the long grass
  • playing frisbee with my dog
  • running through the rain, sometimes with the drops splashing on my face, sometimes under the saftey of a brightly coloured umbrella
  • going for walks in the spring watching cute, fluffy, jumping lambs
  • going for walks on the beach, summer or winter, feeling the sun and watching the waves break
  • going for walks in the autumn and kicking crisp, colourful leaves up into the air
  • wrapping up in winter, going for walks in the freezing snow, making cold breath trails and going inside to warm up with an open fire and cup of steaming hot chocolate
    (complete with cream and marshmallows)
  • the simple things in life: scones, jam and cream, Thornton’s chocolate mint bars, home-made roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The Mighty Boosh, old Hollywood glamour and David Tennant starring as…well, anything!
  • Going to the cinema or reading a good book. Something that loses you in another world, a place that pushes and pulls you, plays with emotion and develops your character.
  • Poetry that makes one glow and think and contemplate

  • Going to feed the ducks; simple, serene, satisfying!
  • Bright flowers that smell wonderful
  • Butterflies – make me speechless!
  • Telling stories and making people laugh.
  • Spending time with friends.
  • My biggest joy is seeing a person I love smile because of me. Holding hands and kissing and cuddling. These are the things that make my heart race and staring into the eyes of my love – there is absolutely no other better place in the world. Everything stops, nothing else matters but you and him. That feeling, that surge of love and happiness, all mingled with passion and desire, that is my idea of heaven. The thing I’d bottle up and treasure forever.
