Fruit of the Bradford Pear Tree by

This tiny pear is only 2 cm in diameter, some say it’s edible but it would take a bucket full to make a meal :o) Collected in Gaston County, NC, USA. Canon XS, 0.3 sec., f11, ISO 100, Sigma 70mm DG Macro, tripod, RAW. 10/19/2013

Stunning simplicity Otto. Interesting subject with great color and detail.
    Myra :)

  • Thanks so much Myra. I’ve had a Bradford Pear tree in the yard for twenty years and never saw a pear. A few days ago I discovered a second small tree and it had this one small pear and a blossom on it. Mother Nature always has something new :o)
