h1. PAINTERS IN MODERN TIMES – WHAT’S NEW

21st of October, 2009

The features this week highlight the top ten entries in the latest challenge

Painting the Nude.

Unfortunately our winner modernlifeform has no current images in the group so I have featured the top ten entires that have their work in the group!
Something a little different this week!

Here is your personal invitation to join in this project
Like to know more and join in on the excitement just click the image!

This one is really easy to participate in, just join the thread by introducing two new characters and start the detective work!

Christmas is fast approaching and yes sorry for mentioning it but wouldn’t it be great to have some nice bubble cash to buy gifts with!!!

Well here’s your chance to win a $US20 redbubble voucher by participating in our newest competition!

Solve the Puzzle of the Missing Painting

................. ..............

Those of you already watching (or joining in) kafka’s screenplay thread might have noticed that there are some references to famous artists, paintings and literary works – there’s a reason for this (as there usually is with k!)

There are more than just some references, there are a load of them hidden in TT and Snowy’s dialogue – some of them are fairly obvious…..but some of them are fiendishly hidden in codes, anagrams and asides – all you have to do to win the competition is find as many of them as you can and name them. (If you think you have found one, try and name both the artist and the painting, or, if the answer is a book or poem, the author and the title. begin at the start of the thread and write the answers in the sequence that you find them).

But! – and this is the important bit! – to enter the competition you MUST make at least one post in the thread and try and introduce a new character or clue to help TT and Snowy solve the mystery of the missing painting.

When the thread finishes (in a few weeks time) everyone who has contributed to the story by posting in the thread will be able to post their answers in a specially set up moderated thread that can only be seen by the group hosts – after they have been checked the winner will be announced.

............................. THIS WEEKS FEATURED GROUP .............................

....................................... Hosted by …......................

.......................
Lynsye Medalia ........... and …........ stephanie allison

This group is for painters, drawers, sketchers and lovers of all things nature. We accept artwork of animals, landscapes, insects, ocean scenes, and so on and so on. People are also permitted as long as they are IN a nature scene. and not just a portrait of a person, or a person inside a house.

Also accepted are art of animals who exist because your creative mind invented them!

Animals with wings, and silly things
Birds with ladies faces and interesting places
Smiling frogs and colorful dogs
Mermaids with tails and polka-dot whales
Cute cartoon cats and dark gloomy bats

You get the idea!!! If it’s creative – lives, breaths and grows then submit it to the group! We want to see your most creative work, and what makes you stand apart from the rest.

“We created this because we both do some ‘painted nature’ work that is out of the norm….Stephanie’s is very fantasy oriented and mine is almost abstract….there were no groups set up for people like us….tons of landscape groups and tons of nature photography groups, but nothing like this. So…we launched it 4 months ago and already have over 3000 pieces of art! :) We would love it if you would take a peek at our little group. :)” ......... Lynsye Medalia
