My Life

This is based on the idea of Buddhist Mandala’s which are I carefully constructed images in sand that are then blown away. They see them as a metaphor for life. My life is a metaphor for them.

My Life belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical

I choose each grain of sand
Pick it for colour, texture, luster
And place it carefully in the Mandala
I know them as my work, my family, my art

And in the end it will be tipped into the sea
With each washed away and will sometime later
Be reformed in another’s life

Such wise words!! A primary school near us had monks visit this year and they did these amazing creations. They just blow away in the wind after taking so long to create. They’re beautiful. Good thing others are also wise and take photos!!

Sand is also turned into glass…
