Syria 1990 Donkey

Yes, not sure I would be riding one. They have a cross on their backs which they call the Jesus Cross as it is seen as a reminder of their sacred status of carrying Him into Jerusalem. They have such gorgeous faces.

So inviting. I’ve read about the bedouin & desert nomads most of my
life and have an unhealthy fascination with their lifestyles. (Must be the
Indian in me.) That’s why I find this so inviting. Wonderful shot. :)

he/she is a beautiful donkey, sadly the working donkeys often have a hard life but it doesn’t always mean they are not cared for – for their size remember they are incredibly strong, weight to size they are stronger than horses!

Aw the little fella

Hooray for donkeys world wide – this one is now quite well known on Red Bubble :D.

It is a desolate beauty, there is not a patch of green to be seen. This type of environment must be incredibly intimidating. I would not wish to be far from water. What happened to the darling Donkey’s ears?
