A landscape photographer in Scotland

I make my living as a geek of linux and databases, but I’ve been interested in photography on & off since I was about 8 with an ancient Kodak camera and a roll of 12-exposure 35mm film (anyone else remember such short stuff?), via my first SLR (an EOS00n) and a bunch of digital cameras, but really I just can’t escape the joy of developing film (medium 120 roll or large-format 5×4″, black and white or colour slide-film) myself.
My photographic interests are primarily landscape with leanings towards abstract art, the occasional closeup, or (recently) geology.

Coinciding with resurrecting activity on RedBubble, I’ve launched a new website for my ventures: ShinyPhoto: a landscape photographer in Scotland / My old gallery is still ticking over, but the new site is going to keep me occupied for a while yet.

Yesterday someone (I know not who) recently bought a print of my photo, Loch Rannoch and Schiehallion, black and white . I think that’s the first real sale out of the blue off RedBubble directly (not led off my own website) – so thanks, that’s my day made, whoever you are :)
