Submerged pebbles, Loch Assynt by

One of my ongoing themes: I’m particularly drawn to abstract patterns of submerged stones and pebbles in rivers and lochs. The peat in the water enhances the orange tint of the rocks, fading out in a pale blue reflection of the sky into the distance.

Taken on the Hasselblad 500CM using Fuji Provia film.

I thought I was the only one collecting these captures. Particularly like the reflection.

  • Thanks :) Nope, I’m quite fond of submerged stones – apart from the abstract results, it looks quite good with a fake “painting” effect applied in photoshop as well.
