The Caledonian Forest is an old woodland that once covered much of Scotland. Today, about 1% of the original forest survives. The forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife, much of which is not found elsewhere in the British Isles.
There have been trees on this site for up to 8000yr and some of the individual trees are 350-500yr old. Small wonder it feels special.
