Rays of sunlight and cloud-shadows on a late winter afternoon as the sun went behind Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe .
Taken with seconds to go as the light changed, on the Canon G9 using polarizing sunglasses as a filter, tonemapped in qtpfsgui afterwards to enhance the atmospheric optics.
I didn’t know that singh ray was making sunglasses. Nicely done :)
Ta. I didn’t either, but they should. These were not cheap; polarizing and photo-sensitive lenses or whatever the word is, so they’re quite nice to use ordinarily too :)
just lovely rays the detail at the riidge line is wonderful……and a multi tasker too well done, was this a on the fly decision to use the sunglasses or had you already found out their multi use?
Ta. I had already established their usefulness elsewhere, yes; in this case, though, it seemed the camera retained more highlight detail in those edge-clouds with them in the way. This is a good thing :)
