Shameless promotion time!

Since the end of May 2010 I’ve been taking a daily photo for my blipfoto journal , concentrating primarily on detailed closeup scenes in the woods of Inverawe in Scotland using a uniform black and white style.

Coinciding with resurrecting activity on RedBubble, I’ve launched a new website for my ventures: ShinyPhoto: a landscape photographer in Scotland

My old gallery is still ticking over, but the new site is going to keep me occupied for a while yet.

Yesterday someone (I know not who) recently bought a print of my photo, Loch Rannoch and Schiehallion, black and white . I think that’s the first real sale out of the blue off RedBubble directly (not led off my own website) – so thanks, that’s my day made, whoever you are :)

What a pleasant way to wake up, to find my photo, Aurora on Canvas (taken during an aurora display in January 2005) has been featured on the homepage

Funny to think I was out walking up the hill in that photo again, only a couple of Sunday afternoons ago…

Got cards :)

Well, I’ve got my cards. Well impressed with the print quality from redbubble. The card itself is decent thick stuff, far better than any Hallmark crud you’d get in the shops here.

They’ve done a good job of retaining red/yellow saturation in torfinn ‘s midnight in lapland II, which I know from experience is hard work in sRGB on paper. What I do notice is that the card of …
