Sunlight through Trees

One of the better photos I ever took on the Bronica SQa – bright sunlight streaming through a slight mist in a forest, near Innerpeffray, Perthshire.

Sunlight through Trees belongs to the following groups:

Conservation Photography, Forests, Happy Haven, In the Moment, Landscape Photography, Light and Reflection, Perth, The Scots are Coming and United Kingdom

Thanks LindaR – funny what one finds when one goes for a stroll in the woods. The hard part was timing where the sunlight would be in a minute or two after I’d finished setting up the tripod – dratted earth’s rotation changing the scenery all the time ;)

    how long did it take….?

  • PigleT

PigleT in reply to dinghysailor1’s comment, about 1 month ago

About 15-20 mins all told. First there’s the standing-well-back while a bambi sprints across the road in front of you, then grab tripod and cameras and trek into woods for 5mins, avoiding falling over dead tree remnants; then there’s plonking the tripod somewhere and setting up camera and taking meter-readings and annoyedly realising the sun’s moved round so the pattern of light/shade has just moved away from the tree-trunk in question, so pick up tripod and recompose the scene again… at least 3 times I did that :)
