If the World Was Crazy

If the world was crazy
I’d fly around the world in 80 days
I’d jump off a cliff and sprout wings like a bird
I’d gather all the stars in my hands
and glue them on my ceiling and walls
so my nights will never again be dark

If the world was crazy
I’d do cartwheels instead of walking along the sidewalk
I’d jump instead of sitting in a chair as I eat my food
I’d take my brain out and place it beside the sea
and count 1,2,3 eyes on me!
then I’d jump for the moon and hold it close to me

If the world was crazy
I’d open up my umbrella and drift away
like a red balloon in the clouds
and plant my dreams in each one
and see them spring to life like flowers

If the world was crazy
I’d be a child again
eating chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream
peeling oranges and pomegranates
on a summer afternoon
while I do a random dance
and make everyone laugh ‘till their sides hurt

If the world was crazy
I’d ride a train across the sea
while I read my favorite book
or have someone tell me a love story
Then I’d land like an airplane
on the place I want to be
and live la dolce vita in Italy

I love how in one picture to the next your Alice In Wonderland-esque phantasmic compositions snap to sensitive, domestic tableau to precious captures of nature, then back again.
