Artist's Description

Fresh fish for tea , hopeful pelicans wait outside for the fishmonger to throw scraps from the cleaning, one cheeky bird ,beak open ,hopes for the customers fare…

This is Hastings Jetty located in Vic Australia, probably one of my favourite places in the world, the horse and cart l took at the heavy horse festival in Werribee pics taken Canon 60 D PP PSE9, part of my harness series……the fish shop on the jetty originally established in 1866 was used until just recently when the owner decided for economic reasons (presumably) to move the shop into town, an end of an era really as one of the favourite pastimes for locals and visitors alike was to purchase fishy bits from the shop and feed to the pelicans, you could have up to 20 peli’s beaks open wide waiting their share on the sand below ,l have added a few extra’s onto the jetty aka the lamps and have tried to give it a more vintage feel, the title comes from the cafe my bf and l love to share a coffee when l visit which sits just next door
