Minus 9
this is how I was….very blue indeed. I guess at the time I thought I was at Minus 10..(ie couldnt get worse) but reflecting decades alter I realise I hadn’t hit rock bottom at this time.
Fortunately my life turned around…not that circumstances improved but they forced me to look for meaning. Faith gave me a new perspective on things.
Fortunately I am now blessed with a great joy which is not dependent on my circumstances.

If I was the sort of person who gave hugs would be giving you one. You will just have to take my good thoughts.

Picketty, this is sooooo cool. I’ve been offline doing massive amounts of work in my basement shop. My sister came over to help so I have been too tired to get online. I can see you’ve been busy creating beautiful works.

Picketty, This is beautiful. I wonder if consciously or subconsciously the intrinsic beauty/meaning of that dreadful time has been translated too. I’ve found that the worst times (and I’ve had mental illness) have also been some of the most profound times. Sometimes beauty, for me, has this funny habit of keeping company with truth. Sometimes the truth has only been found when the rest has been stripped away. And the truth is beautiful, not only because of the freedom which can accompany it. I’ve found it usually reflects the divine. That’s my experience anyway.
Superb image. Love the colour and the counterpoint of the face.

This is so beautiful and powerful. I think what evolves from these terrible times is compassion and that can be a gift you can share .You have also got the gift of artistic expression which you share.
