Wings of the Anhinga

Wings of the Anhinga

I find this bird to be one of those birds that is a pleasure to watch.. they are usually found alone.. and they must dry their wings , before diving again, due to no oil glands on the wings.

Lakes Park. Fort Myers, Florida.

amazing shot… we have a similar bird in Australia called a cormarant (probably same family).. I have a shot called the “Conductor’ in my profile.. they are awesome birds.. there is a group called birds and creatures of flight.. this would fit perfectly… well done

  • Isa Rodriguez replied

    thanks very much, Dave.

I entered this into the birds.. but I get the sneaky suspicion they do not like my bird shots .. lol.. they like close ups only.. and I never see them feature much .. but!.. enough complaining lol:))).. ha ha..

I do believe the cormorant and the anhinga.. are two birds .. sorta like distant cousins.. definitely related.. extraordinary birds for sure.. a pleasure to watch them..
