I am a self-taught artist, recently retired from my “pay the bills job”, who made a serious attempt at graphite drawing in 2006 at age 53. I have since done a few in color pencil.
I love drawing animals and children especially. Some of my work is available for sale as prints on this site. Commissions are welcome.
Thank you for visiting my page, and I would like to thank everybody who comments. I truly appreciate it.

Beautiful work Marlene….your drawings are all quite exceptional. This particular drawing took me back to the 5th grade when we were given an assignment to read a book and write a story about what we liked about it. Being an avid animal lover i chose the book called “Rascal”, written by Sterling North…a book about Sterling and his growing up with his pet raccoon & the adventures the two of them shared…….

  • I read that book too, probably at about the same age. Didn’t they also make a movie of it? Anyway, thanks.

I believe they did make a movie of it Marlene…“Old Yeller” was another of Sterling Norths books turned into a movie…and you’re welcome :-)

Love this guy. What a wonderful ability – to be able to produce this incredible detail by drawing, I so wish I could have learned to do that! And you seem to do it so well!

  • Thanks Chris. He was a cute little guy.
