Dozer
Commission from a very dark snapshot of a dog (bulloxer) who is deceased (so no chance of better photos). There was no detail in the face, other than the white parts, and his left eye was completely blacked out. Thankfully, this was for a neighbor, and I knew the dog, so had some memory of what he looked like. He was a sweet boy, and so well behaved. He lived a long and happy life. 10X8 Graphite on Canson Bristol Board Plate.
Dozer belongs to the following groups:
All Pets Great and Small, Animal Kingdom, Cats and Dogs (1 artwork per day), Mans Best Friend's (Dogs only), Painted Dogs, Pencil Drawing (2 per 24 hrs) and Realist Traditional Art

Oh I think this is excellent and I am certain the owners will cherish it for years to come! Nice work!
Marlene Piccolin replied
Thanks Laura. Yes, she is going to give it to her husband for Christmas. She was very choked up, and said her husband will be too. That is the kind of response that makes all the frustration of trying to make art from a snapshot well worth it.
