The world can be a lovely place,
If you are bold or fair of face.
But do we stop to look and see,
The ones who live life quietly?
The awkward one who nervously,
Hopes the pretty girl will see.
The one who’s heart is good and sweet,
But clumsily trips over feet.
The girl who isn’t wearing lables,
Who’s grateful for what’s on the table.
The boy who’s father was’nt there,
And now is learning not to care.
Why must we all be cool and clever?
Can’t we just be ourselves ever?
I’m ok with being dorky.
I’m just a girl who’s kind of quirky.
I love the underdog, you see.
Cause there is one inside of me.
I’ll admit it… I’m just a clutzy, dorky, goofball. But I’m ok with that. :) There is a certain peace in learning to love yourself…flaws and all.
