Artist's Description

Digital painting using Photoshop CS4
I mostly used the airbrush tool in a variety of sizes and opacities ranging from 7 to 25%.
For the darker harder lines I used the round brush in fairly high opacity, around 60 – 70%.

My cat, Sproet (Freckle), was the subject of this digital painting. Sproet is affectionately referred to as ‘Goeters’, loosely translated as ‘Little stuff’. Yeh, I know, Afrikaans is a weird Language!! :-)
Goeters simply adopted us back in South Africa and he became a legal Immigrant to Australia with his brother, Leo, 3 years ago.

Here is the reference photograph I used as my first layer that I converted to a pencil drawing in Photohop.
