Soft pastels on light grey board, 35 × 50cm.
The original picture I found was so pretty, I had to sketch it. It was all in white, even the foot pouff!! But being a creature of lots of colour, I gave it a distinct ‘Me’ flavour with tartan bedding… :-)

bedroom, books, pastels, pillow, retreat, sheets, slippers, teacup, tranquil

I do my thing my way and mostly it comes out OK…

Amazing Pastel work Picatso, and yes, oh so tranquil! Just got out of bed a while ago, this is enough to send me back! Beautifully done!

  • Thanx Maree,
I did this one for a Challenge called “Interiors’. It got a few votes, but not enough for Top 10, unfortunately. Next time…
Working on a Collab with Babs at the moment. You’re part of the ‘Eye of the Beholder’ collab, aren’t you? I finished my contribution about 2 weeks ago. Cant wait for the result. There’s only 2 outstanding…
    Thanx for the chat also,
    Helette :-)

The more I look at it the more I like it.

  • Thanx Lowell. :-)
I can feel the calmness and the ‘away-from-the-bustle’-ness everytime I look at it too.
    Appreciate your kind comment.
Thanx for the fave also! :-x

lovely, it has a real character

  • Thanx Maria.
I certainly was trying to create a feeling of peace here. The books and cuppa did that part for me. As for the story it’s telling: It makes you wonder where the person is that just got out of that unmade bed. Were they readng, is the tea cold, what is the book about and how soft is that pillow…?
Thanx for stopping by and for the comment :-)
