Captured at Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Seattle, WA

Infrared Photography captured using a Nikon D80 Hoya IR filter. The long exposure created a nice movement style to the clouds.

I have been fascinated with photography ever since I received my first 35mm film camera when I was sixteen. From the beginning I enjoyed seeing worlds invisible to the naked eye, the ability to manipulate time & the opportunity to share unique places and perspectives. Photography allows me to lose myself in the colors, shapes, and patterns of the world around me.

Stunning, i’ve been searching the internet high and low for information on an appropriate IR Sensitive DSLR. i’ve heard Nikon D(x) series are great, but not all of them, and that canon is not the best. might i ask what camera you used for this?

  • Thanks! This was captured with the D80 – Not recommended for IR work but I like the required long-exposures

  • Sorry for the late reply (holidays) This was with a nikon D80 – Not a good IR camera but I can make it work with the right light
