My newly published book, a collection of images from around the Isle of Skye, depicting the joys of “Northern Light”………….
The Isle of Skye, known as “An t-Eilean Sgitheanach”, or “Eilean a’ Cheò” in Gaelic… belongs to a group of islands known as the Inner Hebrides, off the coast of North West Scotland. The Cuillin Mountains, The Trotternish Peninsula, The Sleat of Skye, Strathaird Peninsula, a wild and rugged coastline, old ruins, and many fishing and crofting villages ; so much variety in one small but incredibly beautiful island. This book is a collection of images taken in all Seasons , in all kinds of mood and light . I have arranged the pictures so the viewer may travel from the South to the North . Skye has a reputation for being grey, wet and miserable …it is also known as “The Misty Isle” . Maybe my photographs will prove that theory wrong, and I sincerely hope that I do this magical place the justice it deserves !
