Coigach is a remote and hauntingly beautiful region of the Far North West of Scotland. The mountains look like they belong to prehistoric times….and they do, since the Sandstone that abounds in the area is around a THOUSAND MILLION years old, an incomprehensible period of time. See this link HERE
Apart from those amazing facts, it makes for a great textured foreground……add a terrific Sunrise, the sound of the Red Deer Stags in rut…..photographic heaven. No bloody midges either, He He !!
The view is of Cul Mhor, Stac Pollaidh, and Cul Beag. The area is part of the North West Geopark.
