The Bay of Laig is an idyllic location, with a pristine beach and a view to die for. I have forgotten the biting wind that chilled me to the bone, LOL !!
Waited for the sun to disappear behind a cloud to diffuse the light…the same night that the volcanic ash from Iceland coloured the skies in the UK.
Shot on my Canon EOS 50D, tripod, f23, iso 100, cloudy white balance, six stop ND b+w filter, 17-85mm canon IS lens set at 17mm, three RAW files, processed in Photomatix, further adjustments in CS4.
Sharpened and Saturated in LAB mode.
