A very cold evening, and some ice covered rocks to negotiate……….but I had the place to myself, something of a luxury at Elgol !! The only difficulty in shooting this scene was getting my BW Neutral Density filter securely on the camera, not easy with numb fingers……I simply cannot work with gloves on !!
I wanted the filter to slow down the shutter speed to blur the waters of Loch Scavaig, and to enhance the colours, plus give it the HDR treatment with three RAW files.
Canon EOS 50D mounted on tripod, Canon 17-85 IS lens set at 26mm, 6 stop BW ND filter, iso 100, cloudy wb, f22, 3 RAW files at 0EV +2EV and -2EV, processed in Photomatix, then in VIEW LARGE HERE PLEASE
