Staffin is at the Northern end of the Isle of Skye, and sits under the cliffs that are part of the Trotternish Ridge……a spectacular and primeval landscape that includes The Old Man of Storr, and the Quirang.
Captured here towards the end of the day, just before the cloud obliterated the sun.
A single RAW file, shot on my Canon EOS 50D, f22, 1/6sec, (underexposed by one stop) iso 100, cloudy wb, polarising filter, processed in Adobe Camera Raw, then in Photoshop CS4, selective adjustments to Levels/Curves, selective colour, and sharpened in LAB mode.
