I got up early for this one, I had travelled thousands of miles to see it, had only one morning to get my shot in the bag – and what did I find ?
A film crew shooting an advert ! Along with a battalion of other photographers, I was champing at the ‘bit’, since we weren’t allowed to shoot in case we captured the models – male and female – the whole darned thing was so artificial !! So, when there was a lull in shooting, I crept under a bush and hastily ‘snapped’ my shot. Maybe I should pursue a career in the ’Paparazzi ??!!!

Shot on my Canon EOS 40D with polarising filter attached, mounted on my tripod, Canon efs 18-55mm lens set at 45mm, underexposed by half a stop, f 27, 1/20 sec, auto wb, iso 100, RAW file developed as much as possible in Adobe Camera Raw, then in PS CS3, selective Levels/Curves, saturation of colours achieved with LAB colour, then the tiniest amount of Orton applied, in Layers and adjusting opacity, to ‘pop’ the textures of the wood and grass. Sharpened in Lab mode.
