As we drove out of our Lodge in Amboseli on the final morning of our stay , at sunrise, there was a herd of Buffalo heading for the waterhole, kicking up the ever present dust. Their hooves made a wonderful sound in the silence.The scene lasted only seconds, but will be forever imprinted on my mind. The eternal struggle for existence,of many animals, to reach water, without being attacked by a predator, crossed my mind as I frantically shot my image.

Taken on a Canon EOS40D. Bigma lens at 417mm,iso 400, f9.5, 1/750sec, balanced on bean bag thru open window. RAW file processed in Photoshop CS3.
