An amazing view as you drive along this road – but NOT if you have been visiting Talisker Distillery beforehand, and have been sampling the Malt Whisky !!
Shot on a Canon EOS 40D with polarising filter, f16, ISO 100, Auto WB, single RAW processed in CS3, curves and levels adjustments, and colours enhanced by developing in LAB colour, just a tad.

I agree it’s a great bit of road and especially if you travel along towards sunset!!

Yes indeed – and we are coming to the time of year when sunsets are at their best here, in September , not to mention the wonderful colours on the hills ! THANKS for your lovely words !
Peter Hammer
Not much of a sunset when I was there BUT that’s because we missed it to a degree. We drove down (or is it up) to Elgol and got there just after the sun had set. It would have been a lovely sunset but then we shouldn’t have stopped so much on the way down there but the light on the mountains was irresistible. Next morning the sky around Elgol was very cloudy and dramatic. The colours in the hills in May wasn’t great and some snow would have been fantastic!

Beautiful in every detail and framed perfectly. Love it.

Great shot, was there walking in May, amazing place.

This takes me back, we went to Talisker in 2005 with our old dog Pepper (her last trip) Sweet and sour memories, it never looked this good barbara
