Taken 2/06/10 after 24" of snow, Fishing Creek Valley, PA, USA There were still flurries, high winds and cold but it all combined for some interesting photos and a great day of shooting these guys. Between this storm and another a few days later followed by gusts up to 55 mph these storms dominated the news.

I spent 4 hours out there in knee deep snow with some pretty strong winds, following these guys around hoping to get an opportunity like this one, so my persistence worked out. Absolutely stunning…..Nothing more beautiful than horses running!
Thank You and I agree on the running, fantastic animals. Actually these horses are across the road from me in PA. The guy that owns the farm doesn’t live there, doesn’t ride and these horses have the run of close to 100 acres, not wild by any means but humans aren’t around much, most of them have never been ridden, he feeds them, putters around over there a couple hours a day and pretty much leaves them alone. Have never seen a vet over there even though there are a couple foals every year. They keep their distance when I go over, kind of like there is an invisible, shifting 30 yard border around them. I’ll read about your horses, thanks
Have you ever seen Tony Stromberg’s work, you would enjoy his photographs of the wild horses in California and he is also an advocate for protecting them perhaps he could help in Utah. You should contact him at the least he could help tell the story. Tony
