Great specimen, the shadows are interesting too.

Thanks Marilyn. I’m quite pleased with this photo as it’s hard to get the colours right in Jacaranda’s but this one turned out ok. Cheers.

This is a lovely shot. Not a tree we see in Canada so it’s a pleasure to view. Great color. :>)) Leslie

Forgot to ask. Does it have any scent? It looks like it should Have. :>)) Leslie

No scent that I’m aware of, which is a great pity. They are magnificent trees and they flower late October/November. Cheers, Graham.

Wow Graham, what a beauty you captured here. I love Jacarandas but don’t have much opps to see them. Brilliant work!!!
PhotosByG replied
Hi Teresa, how are things? Thanks for your comment. I’ve tried dull days, and overcast days but I reckon, Jacarandas need sunlight to look their best, so I was very happy with this shot. Cheers, Graham.

Excellent shot Graham! I have never seen a Jacaranda before … what a magnificent tree it is. Aside from outstanding colors and nice lighting/shadows, what I really like about this shot is the composition. Taken at an excellent angle to keep the tree from blocking any significant portion of the building which is also an excellent subject.
PhotosByG replied
Thanks John for your comment. I was very happy with this whole shot. It was a great day too which really helped show off the tree and its magnificent colour. They flower here from October to early December. Cheers, Graham
