Mono Lake, Lee Vining CA.This is one of those images that while its happening you know is going to be exciting. The evening started with only a few clouds in the sky and as it progressed a weather phenomenon called the Sierra Wave took place. The wind patterns are such that large space ship looking clouds form over the Sierra Mountains forming what looks like a large wave. The setting sun gives off all kinds of unreal colors they go from hot reds and oranges to cool pinks.
Its a great show . shot with a cannon 20d a 10-20mm lens at f7 for 2.5 sec
