Artist's Description

Prospector’s staples: Coffee, tobacco, and a pan for sifting. Tobacco cans were often used as weather-proof containers for posting located mining claims. The paper describing the claim was tucked inside, and nailed to a corner post or tree. We still find them, to this day.
