Great Basin Life exists … between … high desert expanses and majestic mountain wilderness.
Daily, I watch the winds of change sweeping away what remains of our western culture and heritage, and the land that has produced them.
My mission is to preserve as much as I can, of that which will soon vanish, through my photography.

This is incredible and works very well. Amazing roses!
Thank you, Lund! These yellow roses are abundant, this year. :)

What a beautiful neighbourhood! How perfectly they fit each other! Both artistically and masterly done! Compliments, my dear friend!:)
Thank you, Arvy – both shots in the same yard, but these roses are blooming all over town. I have never seen so many here, before!

Oh so beautiful!! Arvy referred me to you and I am looking forward to seeing more of your work!! :)))
Thank you so much, Polly! (And to Arvy, for pointing you my way :D)
(Are you related to the Peacocks of Lund, NV?)

Beautiful, Arla!!! A fav for me! I love the contrast of the yellow roses against that fence – it’s beautiful!
Thanks, Ann! I like that combination, too; delicate and rough. :)

Beautiful image!
Thank you, Shelly!

I don’t have any family in NV, however, it’s a small world and they could be distant relatives – one never knows!! If you see them, ask them if they could have descended from Georgia. Also, I’m glad that Arvy did point you my way – I love Nevada and your art is beautiful!! :))))
You’re too kind, Polly!
My former sister-in-law was (and probably still is) married to a Peacock; I haven’t seen any of them since @ 1984. I believe the family came from Utah before settling in NV – and that’s about all I know about them. ;)

My favourite colour rose! This is gorgeous, a fave for me!! thanks..
Mine, too, Kat!
My grandfather had these in his yard, and their fragrance always brings back happy memories of my childhood. These have a unique honey-like scent.
