I know you are right. I just worried about my health :). Too much of ecstacy may kill. And you almost killed me with this capture. However, if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Sure, I prefer to stay. Amazing, Arla, awesome and breathtaking! I can’t believe this capture has been featured once yet. Something is wrong with the guys, I believe. Or.. they still sleep.

Between you and me (and the dozens of people that might read this)—I think the problem is with the thumbnail view. It only shows the center of the image, and all the good stuff is happening on the sides. Then, too … unless you know that’s a mustang, it’s just a horse standing in a field.

Five years (and two cameras) later, this remains my favorite shot of all time. It never fails to conjure up the day … the electricity in the air, the scent of sage and mahogany when it rains on the high desert …. the mustang running to and fro … me rolling in the dirt trying to fit the scene into a single frame. (Couldn’t be done.)

The rainbows actually lasted ~~- or seemed to -~~ for an unusually long time. Perhaps 15 minutes (whereas 5 is about the standard). It’s hard to say, for time seemed to stand still, and zoom by, both at the same time. Truly, MAJICK!
