Renamed the Elizabeth Tower in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the clock tower of the Palace of Westminster rises above the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames. To many, it is known informally as "Big Ben’, after the largest bell that it houses.

The Tower and accompanying rainbow were photographed from Parliament Square during “golden hour”, immediately following a brief rain shower.
