Woodard Bay Conservatory provides habitat for shorebirds and songbirds, harbor seals, river otters, bald eagles, a large maternity colony of bats, and one of the most significant heron rookeries in the state. For the 3,000+ members of the bat colony, the railway trestle provides a safe, warm place to raise their young.
