This is the saddest thing ever as these are the most beautiful free horses I have ever seen. Your photography of them is exceptional and has enriched my life.

Great shot Geno. I’m doing what I can to get the word out on the pressure on! The BLM page says the area can maintain up to 210 horses…

Dear Geno,
I am truly heartbroken for the horses ever since you’ve brought this to our attention….......I am out riding almost daily looking for our small bands of wild horses here in Alberta but I am thinking of your wild horses at the same time….......It really is criminal to remove them from their land….......the brutal truth is they will be sold for meat…....it’s what happens to most wild horses that are captured…......Bastards…...............
my heart goes out to you and the ponies….........

you do such beautiful work, geno.
you’ve probably seen the story of Cloud on pbs. watched last sunday evening & learned that the birth control darted by the blm into females is unreliable, & can mean that foals are born in the fall. makes it difficult for the moms & babies to survive the winter.
