I captured this shot from on top of a cliff at Shornecliffe in Brisbane. The vista encompasses the mud flats at the mouth of Cabbage Tree Creek where it merges with Nundah Creek as the two join hands with Moreton Bay.
Right on dusk a trio of fishermen can be seen in the distance, knee deep in the calm waters of the bay, patiently awaiting the next spectacular catch.
The sunset hues bathe the clouds, the mud flats and the clifftop vegetation in a magical glow. The stillness captures a vibrant burst of fire on the water’s surface.
