A poem about the man who keeps showing up in my life, without warning, and full of expectations, having never earned a place in my life
Hope
Guilt
Confusion
Self Hatred
Hatred
Negotiation
Realisation
Stubbornness
Regret
Hope
It never ends

I relate to this for my daughters…. and that makes me sad. As does this. Nice job conveying such a powerful message in the simplest way.

That rings a few bells, you can choose your friends etc. Is there a family anywhere that dosn’t have a member that isn’t a pain or a problem?

I can relate to this Jo, it’s sad and hard. Can i suggest absence makes the heart grow fonder and sometimes less is more when it comes to contact time…

interesting how many different takes different people will have on this….see for me…what Jo is writing is not about her…..it’s about the man called father…there you go – we each see things from different perspectives…and then change our minds too!
