far out… I feel like i am floating above her and slowly ascending with each second… she has a serene shell like quality to her form… wonderful image Jo! Love the title!
Thanks Paul. When I look at this I can’t decide if she is seeing herself asleep in a dream, or if she has died and departed from her body, hence the title. Glad you like it.
possibly due to the contrasts between the human figure and the natural environment this does have a dreamy kind of vibe to it, actually the landscape seems kind of “out of this worldish”, really facinating, like a still from a fairytale
There is something about black and white which reminds me of dreaming. I read once that some people only ever dream in monochrome. I find that really interesting.

Great dreamy quality. Perfect title.
I can see structures and pictures within the sand around her. Love this shot.
interesting point of view….
she is curled like a little shell . . . such a beautiful image
I love the environment and the curl of her form. So wonderful in black & white!
A challenging image and title!
Yes – I agree with TOTS… lots of deeps in the ‘story’ in this image – great!
