Scratched negatives, cross processing, accidental double exposures. These are the magic and spontaneity of using film. The little mistakes or slips that create unique works of art.

In this digital age, where do we find such wonderful mistakes? Recently James took this photo of me jumping around on the beach.

The memory card corrupted and we were left with a strange hot pink band across most of the image. My first reaction was “what a shame” but I quickly fell in love with it and had a play. Probably because it stood out from the 50 other ‘perfectly good’ images.

    this is so cool. a happy accident for sure. the lines was in the perfect place too. I think it was meant to be. Not just try to do it again.
