Photographic Overshare
Recently I was talking to someone about how wonderful it feels to shave off all your hair and stop wearing make up. They asked for a photo from when I did it back in my rebellious school days. I thought I’d just share it here instead of emailing because this is more fun.

And since I’m in sharing mode, here a few other shots from my earlier, but equally crazy, years…

Christine and I first met at kinder being angels in a nativity play. We aren’t so angelic these days, but we’re still good friends.

When a teacher at our school turned 50, we all got to dress up as fifty year olds for the day. I have to give my school credit for seizing every possible opportunity to get us in costume. In my time I’ve been little red riding hood, a pirate, a 50 year old, a ballet dancer, a spice girl and I think I’m spiraling downwards enough to stop. right. there.

One of our favourite things to do as children was to invite half the neighborhood over for a breakfast picnic. We’d cover the kitchen bench with neatly organised piles of plates and condiments and cereal and form an orderly queue to dish up.

This one was taken during winter, but in summer we’d put the trampoline up on the fence like this with a hose at the top and create a water-slide. Despite the concrete landing and resulting bumps, we’d do it over and over and over

We always seemed to score the best babysitters as kids. Not only did we get fun rides around the backyard on the lawn mower and my little brothers old baby seat, they taught us how to take care of fire pits and steal biscuits from the back of the packet :)
I love reminiscing

OMG! Is it for charity… the head shave thing??
Very brave, something I would NEVER do!

my school was worried it was some sort of political statement but alas, it was primarily motivated by lifestyle choice

Cool story, if can see your perspective. You can see a photo of me in this gallery.

Wow, you wicked, WICKED rebel!
Hey, at least yer smiling… probably cause you`re on the phone with somebody who understood your rebellion.
BUT… you look cool with a crew cut. I did just the opposite when I was at school…
Thanks for sharing your past. Feels kinda good looking back, yeah?

It’s probably a good thing I don’t have access to any photos of me when I was young.
